Too Stuck to Start: A Simple, Supportive Way to Get Unstuck
Ever sit down to start something… and just can’t?
You have the list. You have the time.
But your brain won’t cooperate.
If that’s familiar, you’re not alone.
For a long time, I thought this meant I needed more discipline, better motivation, or a more detailed plan. But the more I worked with neurodivergent individuals (and experienced it myself), the clearer it became:
Starting isn’t just about effort.
It’s about how your brain processes the task in front of you.
Sometimes a task feels too big.
Sometimes it’s unclear where to begin.
Sometimes your energy just isn’t there.
And the more pressure you put on yourself to “just do it,” the harder it gets.
Why I Created This Workbook
Over the years, I’ve seen how common this pattern is—especially for ADHD and neurodivergent adults in work and daily life.
Not a lack of ability.
Not a lack of care.
Just… getting stuck at the starting point.
So I started building simple tools to help people move through that moment.
Not complicated systems.
Not rigid routines.
Just small, practical ways to:
clear mental clutter
figure out what’s actually getting in the way
break tasks into something manageable
take the first step without pressure
Those tools eventually became Too Stuck to Start—a workbook designed to help you move from stuck → started in a way that actually works for your brain.
What Makes This Different
This isn’t a productivity system built on motivation.
It’s built on:
reducing friction
working with your energy
making the first step small enough to take
You don’t have to do everything in order.
You don’t have to do it perfectly.
You just need a place to start.
If You’ve Been Feeling Stuck
If you’ve been sitting with tasks you want to do but can’t seem to begin…
If everything feels overwhelming, unclear, or mentally heavy…
If you’re tired of trying systems that don’t stick…
This might help.
